Meet Rosa and Emerald! They were surrendered to DPR when their owner said they could no longer care for them because they got a cat. Rosa arrived with a large abscess on her back, and we took her to the vet where they surgically removed it. She is healing nicely! We kept Rosa and Emerald separated for the first couple days while she was healing and they both were very depressed, but then as soon as wel put them back together in the same cage, they immediately snuggled with each other and afterwards were popcorning and eating up a storm! They are both very sweet girls. They are curious and vocal at times, especially when it's time for their fresh fruits and veggies! They stand on their hind legs to get their treats! Rosa is about 4 and Emerald is 3 years old. They are very bonded so they are looking for a loving home to live out their golden years together!

Guinea pigs have wonderful personalities- they are gentle and we have yet to come across any who bite, and they keep a daytime schedule! They form close bonds with their people, similar to cats and dogs. Did you know they are able to recognize people based on scent, sound and sight?! These sweet animals make wonderful pets!

*Please note - we do not do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the guinea pig's foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the guinea pig. You can pick your guinea pig up "curb side". Guinea pigs can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR guinea pigs receive a vet check up prior to adoption!
