Cooper, a handsome Plott Hound (mix), has been failed even though the best efforts were made. He was rescued along with his mom and siblings from a VA shelter when he was just two weeks old and adopted at eight weeks old. His adopters had the best of intentions; his dad wanted a puppy to raise but he just never followed through. His mom never really wanted a larger dog (50 lbs) but had anticipated Cooper's new dad would follow through with his commitment. Now 7 months later they are anxious to find him a new home. He has had minimal basic training. He is great with their small dog who they had at the time of adoption. He is very friendly, loves kids and everyone he meets. He is crate trained and just needs someone that wants him. This is a nightmare for us - we did our best - vet references, personal references but we weren't given the true picture and now we need to fix this mistake.
