If you are interested in being considered for Duke you must submit an application at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms. Duke is a rescue from Beaufort County Animal Control in NC when he was turned in late November along with his siblings. The family that surrendered the litter didn't give many details. Some of Duke's siblings didn't survive despite the best efforts of the shelter. Thankfully we were able to get him moved to Williamston Vet Hospital to get him the care he needed and then transported up to our DPR foster home. He just needed basic puppy care. Duke is full of life and ready to go! His breed mix is a mystery. He has the most beautiful brindle markings Our best guess is that he will be in the 50-60 lb range full grown. His foster mom is teaching him basic commands, house training and proper manners. Duke would do well in a home by himself with an active family or with another active dog. His foster family has two older fur siblings and they are really ready for him to find his forever home :) Duke hates the crate. His family is working on it but he needs to go to a home that would have minimal crate time required. He has so many qualities including walking on a leash, house trained, knows basic commands and very well socialized.
