Lucy is a smaller pit mix (around 37 lbs currently); her full weight should be around 40-45. We believe Lucy is around 4-5 yrs old. She had a bout of tick fever that returned (Lucy has not been on regular heart-worm preventative; we will test to determine if there is a problem. Otherwise she seems in good health considering. We spayed her about a year ago after 4 sets of pups (we were told). She exploded tape worms a week or so ago and now seems to be putting on weight well and becoming the dog that she should be... Lucy is kind, quiet, slightly nervous, watchful but playful and loyal once you get her out of her shell. She lived with two other dogs and seems to be alpha dog (but they were chained up so none of them could touch each other), so one should be careful on dog introductions. Foster reports that she tolerates the foster's other dog ok (but not overly friendly about it yet). The two dogs are left alone together and they have been fine (at least no fights thusfar on day 11).
