This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
Renee is a fluffy little girl with stunning green eyes who was rescued from a kill shelter down south. She has a wonderful personality and is very sweet. She is friendly and laid back, but still enjoys playing with her toys. She gets along great with the other cats she is being fostered with and is very motherly towards all the kittens (she did have a litter of kittens herself, but she extends her motherly love to ALL the kittens!) She will run to greet you at the door and has never met a stranger. She rolls around on her back a lot to show off her cute spotted belly! If she's not sitting on someone's lap cuddling, you can find her perched on the windowsill taking a nap. She even gets along well with dogs and small children! She's very patient with the two toddlers at her foster home. She'll make a wonderful companion!
Renee is spayed, has tested negative for FeLv/FIV, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $150
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
