This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
Meet Snowball! He is a stunning Lynx point and is a complete lovebug! He is about a year old and was rescued from a shelter in Georgia where he was scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space. Thankfully he was able to get out of there and into a loving foster home while we arranged transport to get him up to DPR. He is a beautiful and unique looking kitty who loves everyone. He is extremely affectionate and cuddly and slept in bed on his foster mom's chest every night! When he isn't cuddling, you can find him playing with his favorite purple mouse toy. Snowball is very playful and has a lot of kitten left in him - he is very outgoing and loves to wrestle with all the other cats and dogs he has been fostered with. We have a lot of kittens available for adoption currently, and he would be thrilled to be adopted with any one of them!
Snowball is neutered, has tested negative for FeLv/FIV, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $200
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
