This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care. 

Jenny is an adorable little 10 week old fluffy Maine Coon mix who was rescued from a southern shelter. She is extremely affectionate and extremely cuddly! She gets along well with other cats and dogs and will make a great companion for lucky adopter! 

Jenny is currently being fostered in a loving home in NC while she awaits transport to DPR, which is scheduled for Aug 1st, but we are accepting applications for her now! 

Jenny has tested negative for FeLv/FIV, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms    
      Adoption fee is: $200 plus $40 refundable spay/neuter deposit

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption: 

Initial vet visit 
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers 
Monthly flea/tick preventative 
Ear mite preventative 
The above is standard for cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
