If you are interested in adopting Bellatrix Lestrange, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
Bellatrix Lestrange was left on the doorstep of a wildlife rehabilitator in the middle of the night in a cardboard box. She was only 3 weeks old. DPR was asked if we could take her, and thankfully we had a foster home who was able to bottle feed her. She has been in a loving foster home since she was only 3 weeks old, and has had all the love and care and socialization you could ask for! Therefore she has grown to be very friendly and playful and loves everyone she meets!
Bellatrix is an absolute sweetheart! She LOVES to climb up onto your lap and cuddle, or she will nuzzle right into your neck. She loves to play, especially with the laser pointer or with the feather toys. She is very outgoing and likes to meet new people. She gets along very well with the lab mix she is being fostered with, and of course she loves all cats too! She is very patient and sweet the children and toddlers too - basically she loves everyone and has never met a stranger! She will make a wonderful addition to one very lucky home! We can't say enough great things about this sweet little girl!
Bellatrix Lestrange has tested negative for FeLv/FIV, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $100 plus $40 refundable spay/neuter deposit
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
