Having one eye certainly does not slow down cute little Devan! He was rescued from a high kill shelter along with his siblings and his mom, Mona. They were originally found inside a dumpster behind an apartment building when they were just teeny tiny. Their luck turned and they ended up in a loving foster home where they're being spoiled until they find homes of their very own.
Devan ended up needing surgery to remove a badly infected eye that had no vision remaining. He was neutered at the same time, and he handled the surgery like a champ! He is 100% healed now and is ready to find his forever home! He is very sweet and lovable. All he wants to do is climb up onto your lap and be pet. This extremely affectionate boy loves everyone he meets and will run to the door to greet you. He gets along really well with cats, dogs, and even toddlers! When he's not cuddling, you can find him playing with his toys. He will make a great little companion for one very lucky adopter!
Devan is neutered, has tested negative or FeLv/FIV, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $150
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
