A match made in Hogwarts! Ron Wesley & Luna Lovegood are siblings who were rescued from a high kill shelter in NC. They have never been apart, and have grown very bonded to each other, so we are hoping to keep them together! Ron is the long haired orange boy, and Luna is the beautiful pure white little girl. They LOVE to play, play play! Some adopters are disappointed when their cats are uninterested in any of the fun toys they bought especially for them - well you don't have to worry about that with Luna and Ron - they love ALL toys equally and don't discriminate! They like the interactive feather toys, or chasing a ping pong ball around the room until it gets lost under the furniture, or carrying around the toy mice and throwing them into the air and dropping them into their water bowl! They love to wrestle and explore too! These two fun cats are guaranteed to keep you entertained all day! When they aren't playing, you can find them curled up with each other taking a cat nap, usually with their arms wrapped around each other. They take some time to warm up to new people, but you definitely won't find them hiding in a corner or under the bed - they are happy to be out and about with all the people, but they just take some time before they will come up to you for love and pets. Food is definitely the way to their hearts - they get SO excited when it's dinner time and go crazy for canned food (as long as it's not pate!) Their foster mom pets them the whole time they are eating, and they love it. Ron will even sit on his foster mom's lap for a few minutes and enjoy some cuddling. They run to greet you at the door, and they get along well with all the other cats and kittens they are being fostered with. They will need an adopter who is patient and understanding who is willing to give them the time they need to warm up and get comfortable. They are still young and full of potential! They would love to find their forever homes for the holidays, and we have some exciting news - we are reducing their combined adoption fee to only $30, in the hopes that someone will take a chance on them and provide them a wonderful home!

REDUCED ADOPTION FEE for the pair: $30.
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
