Duke loves everybody! He arrived at DPR with the rest of the "Secret Life of Pets" kitties who were all rescued from a high kill souther shelter shortly before they were scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space at the shelter. 
Duke is as friendly as can be! He loves to meet new people and make new kitty friends! He is very playful and especially loves his feather toys! He gets along great with all the cats he's being fostered with and really likes kids too! He lets the little kids carry him all around the house! He's looking forward to having a home of his own!

He is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLv/FIV, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms    
      Adoption fee is: $100 (adoption special - adopt one/ get one free if adopted with his sister, Chloe!)

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption: 

Initial vet visit 
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers 
Monthly flea/tick preventative 
Ear mite preventative 
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
