This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

Meet Leonard! He arrived at DPR with the rest of the "Secret Life of Pets" kitties who were all rescued from a high kill souther shelter shortly before they were scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space at the shelter.
They don't come much cuter than sweet little Leonard! He has luxurious long hair with the prettiest coloring. He is friendly and very playful! His favorite toy is his green little mouse and he carries it around with him everywhere. He will keep you entertained all day!

He tested negative for FeLv/FIV, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $150, plus $40 refundable spay/neuter deposit

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
