If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
Sunny and her babies (Cloudy, Chance and Meatball) were rescued from a shelter in Philadelphia just hours before they were scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space. Thankfully we were able to get them out in time and to a loving foster home! The kittens were only 2 weeks old when we got them! Sunny has been an absolutely amazing mama. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She loves dogs, cats, kids and everyone she meets. She is playful too and enjoys playing with her kittens and with feather toys! We can't say enough great things about Sunny, she is a ray of sunshine and a wonderful cat all around. She will make a perfect addition to one very lucky family!
Sunny will be spayed once her babies are weaned. She is microchipped, tested negative for FeLv/FIV, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $100
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
