This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
Sunny and her babies (Cloudy, Chance and Meatball) were rescued from a shelter in Philadelphia just hours before they were scheduled to be euthanized due to lack of space. Thankfully we were able to get them out in time and to a loving foster home! The kittens were only 2 weeks old when we got them! They have been raised with dogs, cats, and kids and get along great with everybody! They are all very playful, friendly and cuddly! They groom each other a lot and sleep in an adorable kitten pile! They will be ready for adoption starting in November when they will be 8 weeks old.
Meatball is just as sweet as she is beautiful! She loves to sit on your legs and will just perch herself on your knee for as long as you let her. She has her playful moments as well! She is the smallest in the litter and the only girl. She looks exactly like her mama, and inherited her wonderful personality too!
Cloudy, Chance and Meatball tested negative for FeLv/FIV, are up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $100, plus $40 refundable spay/neuter deposit
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
