This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
Hayden's foster mom in NC said he is one of the sweetest cats she's ever had. He would sleep in bed with her at night and all he wants is love and cuddles. He arrived to DPR a couple days ago, and the long trip was understandably stressful for him, he hid for the first 2 days but now he is starting to explore the room and come out of his shell. He's going to need a loving understanding home who will be willing to give him a couple weeks to adjust to yet another new house! But we assure you it is worth it because he is an amazing cat and once you earn his trust he will be your best friend forever and give you all the love and cuddles you could ask for! He gets along very well with other cats and dogs big and small. Won't you take a chance on Hayden!?
Hayden is neutered, tested negative for FeLv/FIV/HW, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePuppyRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $100
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
