What a cool breed!! Olga is a mix of Maine Coon and Manx (meaning she has super fluffy hair but no tail!) She is a definite lap cat! She is very people oriented and follows her foster mom everywhere. When she wants attention she will chip and rub up against your legs or just jump on any free lap available! She is about a year old and loves to play with toys and the laser pointer. She is also obsessed with the catnip plant at her foster mom's house! She gets along well with other cats and dogs.
Olga has been diagnosed with an issue that is common for Manx cats- megacolon. She is on a medication that helps her move her bowels called Cisapride, it is a tiny pill twice a day, and it is likely she will have to remain on this indefinitely. She will need an adopter who monitor her well-being and make sure she is not becoming constipated.
She is spayed, tested negative for FeLv/FIV/HW, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms Adoption fee is: $100
If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Adoptive families can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone and do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. All paperwork will be done online and adoption fees can be paid by Paypal or Venmo. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older) Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older) Distemper vaccination SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm Broad spectrum dewormers Monthly flea/tick preventative Ear mite preventative The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
