Extra-Toes Cat (Hemingway Polydactyl) (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult
As his name implies, Axel Roads was named after his foster father rescued him from laying motionless in the middle of the road. He had a broken jaw, a bloody nose, and a serious concussion. These life threatening injuries were going to need immediate surgery. They also meant many months of recovery. But since he wasn't chipped, and nobody claimed him, his foster parents took on his months of care. He is all healed up and healthy now, and ready for his forever home. While he did bond with his foster parents during his recovery, they discovered he was not a fan of other cats and is happiest when he doesn't have to share the attention! For his own safety, it wouldn't be advisable to let him go outside either, since he was already almost fatally injured before. He's a BIG boy, is neutered, UTD on shots, and also a polydactyl (which means he has extra toes!) At approximately 3 years old, he still likes to play with his feather wand and catnip toys. He enjoys looking out the window, laying in the sun, or on his favorite blanket. Axel prefers his space, and likes to initiate any affection. He would therefore be best suited to an experienced, patient cat owner, and an adult home. If you're looking for a low maintenance, independent, and self sufficient cat, with HUGE paws and an adorable crooked smile, Axel could be your guy!
