Our heart breaks for Jasmine. This beautiful, sweet 12 year old girl was dumped at a kill shelter by the only family she’s ever known. The only reason given was “doesn’t like granddaughter”. The compassionate shelter workers asked us to take her, and even though our foster mom is 100% full, she just couldn’t say no. We are thankful that Jasmine is safe in her quiet and loving foster home, but she is so confused and depressed and has been hiding her face in the corner since she arrived. We love you Jasmine and we promise we will do everything in our power to heal your broken heart.
Jasmine was transported up to DPR and is now in a loving foster home in Baltimore MD. She had a spa day and has been getting a lot of love, yummy food and heated blankets. She is slowly becoming less depressed and she even started purring for the first time. She is looking for her perfect family where she can spend her golden years being loved and spoiled.
She is spayed, tested negative for FeLv/FIV/HW, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $100
If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Adoptive families can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. All paperwork can be done online and adoption fees can be paid by Paypal. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
