Meet Twyla! This overly affectionate beauty is a long haired Siamese, also known as a Balinese. She is very exotic looking and has the sweetest personality to go along with her good looks. She is about 1 year old and was rescued from a southern shelter. She does not have a shy bone in her body and will follow you around seeking attention. She loves to be pet and held and cuddled. She hates it when you are on your phone or computer and will literally pull your hand away and force you to pet her. She gets along really great with other animals and adores kids!
Twyla is from a shelter, we are taking a guess on her breed based on her appearance, it is unlikely that she would have hypoallergenic qualities.
We received quite a few applications for Twyla and we are changing her status to "Hold" while we process the applications that have already come in for her.
She is spayed, tested negative for FeLv/FIV/HW, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $200
If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Adoptive families can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. All paperwork can be done online and adoption fees can be paid by Paypal. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
