Meet Roland! He was adopted out as a kitten, and just recently returned due to no fault of their own. Their owner moved in with his girlfriend, and the gilfriend's dog is not cat friendly. He lost the only home he has ever known and is now on the search for his forever home. He is such a sweet boy who just LOVES to be pet! He gets along really great with kids, and actually spends every day doing virtual school with the first grader at his foster home. The class gets a kick out of him walking across the keyboard and sitting right in front of the monitor. He sure likes attention! He is loving and quiet and low maintenance. His short hair sheds very little and requires minimal grooming! He is super affectionate and will head butt you for attention and rub up against your legs. He enjoys cuddling on your lap as well. Roland might be the perfect match for you!
He is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FeLv/FIV/HW, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $100
If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Adoptive families can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. All paperwork can be done online and adoption fees can be paid by Paypal. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
