Meet Sheba! This gorgeous girl is about 7 months old and was rescued along with her brother, Neko. She has the most unique coloring - her hair is a beautiful rusty orange/brown. She has such a sweet personality and is a definite cuddle bug once she gets to know you. Like her brother, she can be a bit shy at first with new situations and people, but it doesn't take them long to open up and show you their wonderful personalities. She will look right in your face and give the sweetest little meow, and loves to be held and rocked and kissed on her head. She loves to snuggle. If you're looking for a pair, her and her brother, Neko, would be an excellent choice! They would be fine to be adopted out separately as well.
She is spayed, tested negative for FeLv/FIV/HW, is up to date on all vaccinations and litter box trained. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $200
If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Adoptive families can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. All paperwork can be done online and adoption fees can be paid by Paypal. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
