Filbert and Chestnut are two little buff colored brothers who are guaranteed to keep you entertained!! These spunky guys weigh only 2 pounds but they sound like a herd of elephants when they start playing! They love to wrestle with each other and play with toys, the crinkle tube is one of their favorites. They are loving being in a foster home where they can get all their playful kitten energy out! They play hard but they also sleep hard! They are cutest cuddliest little things when they are napping together in a pile. They are cuddly too and affectionate too and enjoy being pet and held. These brothers are sure to make you laugh!
He tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
