Apricot is a fun kitten with a lot of personality! He is guaranteed to keep you entertained! There is barely a moment of the day when he isn't purring, and he just loves to hang out with you and cuddle. He was rescued from a southern shelter along with his mom (Honeydew) and siblings (Papaya and Pomegranate). Unfortunately he had a very serious eye infection, and despite our greatest efforts to save his eye, it ruptured and needed to be removed. It didn't slow him down one bit, and we think he looks absolutely adorable, and he can still see perfectly fine out of his other eye! It's completely healed now, and he has no other known special needs, so he is ready for his forever home! He loves to run around and play, and he gets along really great with all the other cats and kittens he is being fostered with. He is a sweet boy who is sure to make you smile!

This cat tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $150, plus $40 refundable spay/neuter deposit (discounts available for adopting a pair)

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
