Honeydew is a petite little Siamese, weighing in at only 4.5 pounds with beautiful blue eyes! Even though she is really just a kitten herself, she had a teenage pregnancy and had a litter of 3 kittens, all of whom have been adopted. DPR rescued this adorable family from a North Carolina shelter. Honeydew was an amazing mama to her babies, and now she is excited to find a home of her own!
She takes a little bit of time to adjust to new situations, but once she does she is such a sweet kitty! She loves to play, especially with the wand toys. She's affectionate and enjoys rubbing up against her foster mom and being pet.
This cat is spayed, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
