Kale was adopted from DPR when she was a baby about a year ago and if looking for a new home due to her current owner getting a puppy. Here is what her current family says about her:

She's got a big personality! She's "vocal" with her actions. She'll run up to you if she wants to be pet, and she loves her head being rubbed and around her ears. She's "potty trained"! And she does better with the pan with tall sides. She's not picky with food and eats just about anything we give her. She LOVES bananas and apples as an occasional sweet snack. She loves hiding in tunnels and big boxes. We draped a tablecloth over a big storage tote, and it's her favorite place to hang out. Once she's comfortable with you she will do zoomies all over the place!

Here is Kale's original post when she was with DPR:

Kale is such a sweet and friendly bunny! She is super affectionate and will hop right up on your lap for cuddles. She enjoys being pet and has the softest fur! She is curious and loves to explore and hop around. Bananas are her absolute favorite treat!
She was one of several baby bunnies who were surrendered to DPR due to an unwanted litter. They were hand raised and were held, petted and loved from the moment they were born. Kale is therefore very friendly, outgoing and affectionate! They were raised in a home with young children and are being fostered in a home with kids, dogs and cats - so they are very well socialized and used to loud noises!
They love when it's time to get their fresh fruits and veggies and will eagerly follow you around and hop into your lap. They love hopping around their exercise pen and playing with their toys - their favorite toy is definitely the crinkle tube! (Check out their videos!) They also enjoy their wooden bunny castle and the twine balls! It is so much fun just to watch them hop around and play, they are guaranteed to keep you entertained. They have very soft fur and are used to being held and pet, we really just can't say enough great things about them. We absolutely love these little fluff balls and we know you will too!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Rabbit Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
   Adoption fee is: $75

This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the rabbit's foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the rabbit. You can pick your bunny up "curb side". Bunnies can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR rabbits receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (surgery for rabbits is risky and very expensive, it costs between $250 - $400 for a rabbit spay/neuter.)

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
