Minnie is a gorgeous Maine Coon mix who was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. She has very soft long fluffy hair and enjoys being pet. She is still adjusting to her foster home, she's only been here a couple days. She will need a bit of patience as she comes out of her shell and adjust to a new home. We can tell she has a lot of potential though and we can't wait to see her true personality! She gets along very well with all of the other cats and kittens she is being fostered with.
This cat is altered, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
