More about Hope (DH)

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats

Special Needs: We received a plea from our friends down at the Wetzel County Shelter in New Martinsville, WV and will be bringing up these poor babies this weekend. We will cover their ongoing treatment (which is a sponge bath every 10 days with Mitaban) if we find adopters during their treatment period. If you are interested in fostering or adopting one of these poor souls, please submit an application and we will be in touch. ************************** They have a non-contagious type of mange which is easily treated but due to space at the shelter their time is running out. We received the urgent plea from Wetzel: Can you PLEASE post this? We got them in from the neighboring county 2 days ago. They are diagnosed with Demodectic Mange which is NOT CONTAGIOUS (good news) and is treatable,(good news) but there are 7 of them and we just do not have time or space to treat them and hold them. We are getting so many "unwanted dogs that were Christmas gifts" and do not have space to hold them during treatment. I am looking for foster homes and rescues to pull them. I am sending out pleas to rescues I know to see if they can help with any. they just need "dipped" every 10 days. Time is the key that will save these beautiful pups. Someone got them in a "free to a good home" ad in the local trading paper. They took all 7 (were a horrible home also) and then realized they had mange,,,but instead of diagnosing and treating, they passed them on to another horrible family who called us.(long story) Poor pups are very loving and pretty. It is mostly just on the faces and the front feet but it is diagnosed.
