Sweetness alert!!! Dr. Sharon is as sweet and friendly as they come! She wants nothing more than to be pet and cuddled and be wherever you are. This girl is outgoing and loves to explore! She loves children and gets along really great with all the other cats she is being fostered with. She is pretty calm, she will play a little bit, but is really more interested in being pet. She has super long fluffy thick hair that will need to be groomed daily to keep it from getting matted. While the other shorter haired cats have been curling up in their warm cozy beds, Dr. Sharon prefers sprawling out flat on the coldest floor she can find! She is a truly exceptional cat who will be a wonderful addition to any home.
This cat is altered, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
