Rebecca has a story! This beautiful affectionate little girl was found in someone's yard when she was just a a tiny kitten and she had a broken leg and hip. The poor thing must have been in so much pain. We were contacted and took her right away and got her the vet care she needed, and she has been recovering in a loving foster home every since. Her vet was very happy with how it healed and after this last set of x rays has finally cleared her for adoption! She is excited to find a home of her very own! You would never know that she had an injury in the past - she does not limp or anything, and she runs around and plays and jumps like the best of them! After being on several months of cage rest, she is really loving the freedom to be able to run around and play! She is a great mix of playful and cuddly. She will climb right into her foster moms lap for snuggles. Rebecca LOVES dogs. She gets along very well with cats also, but she seems to prefer the company of dogs when she has the choice. She gets along well with kids as well, and would definitely make a fun playmate for a kid. She's a smart girl and is very adventurous. She will make lovely addition to any home!

This cat is altered, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
