Meet Rusty! Rusty and his sister, Coco, were rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. Rusty is as friendly and affectionate as they come! This fluffy boy is about 6 months old and just wants to help you do whatever it is you're doing. For example, he loves to "help" his foster mom scoop the litter boxes - by jumping in the litter box, climbing on her lap, perching on her shoulder, nudging the scooper out of her hand, sticking his head inside the bag - you get the idea. He is super interested in being with you and being involved in whatever is going on. He wants to be pet all the time, he will climb right onto your lap and solicit cuddles. He follows you around weaving in and out of your legs. He does not have a shy bone in his body and loves to explore new places. He is also very playful and enjoys wrestling with the other kittens and playing with his toys. If you're looking for a cat with the personality of a dog, look no further!

This cat is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
   Adoption fee is: $200

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
