Meet Calypso! This gorgeous 18 month old kitty has such an amazing personality! She gets along really great with all the other cats she is being fostered with, and has even taken on the role of "Mama" to several of the tiny kittens. She lets them try to nurse from her (even though she has no milk) and gives them baths to keep them squeaky clean. Kitten Hecuba is especially obsessed with her. She is a very loving kitty and takes her mom duties very seriously. She is very affectionate towards people as well and is very chatty - she has the sweetest little "Peep" meow that will melt your heart! She is very calm and prefers gazing out the window and napping on the scratching post rather than running around and playing. She is just an all around great kitty and she'll make a wonderful addition to any home!
This cat tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
