Meet Mackenzie! This adorable little girl was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina along with her siblings. She has the prettiest coloring-her face is black and her body is grey/black speckled, kind of a salt and pepper look. She looks like she is wearing fancy over the elbow "gowing to the ball" gloves! She is about 2.5 months old and has really come out of her shell at her foster home! She likes to be pet and will purr and cuddle in your lap. She sleeps on her foster mom's chest at night and will snuggle up on the couch with her during the day - sprawled out upside down (check out her pic!) She also enjoys playing with her siblings and the other cats she is being fostered with. She is a sweet, gentle kitten who is not overly hyper. She is looking forward to finding a home of her very own. There is a $150 discount if you are interested in adopting her along with her buddy, Gerald! 

This cat tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

 

  DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption: 


Initial vet visit 
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers 
Monthly flea/tick preventative 
Ear mite preventative 
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
