Meet Comet! This tiny little guy is only 6 weeks old and is as sweet as can be! He is very friendly and affectionate and enjoys being picked up and cuddled. He is very docile and is very good with children. He was surrendered to the Humane Society, and they reached out to us and asked if we could take him. He has an awesome personality and enjoys romping around his pen and makes all sorts of adorable noises. When he hears us making a salad for him he will squeal with excitement! We have another single male guinea pig, Star, and we are slowly introducing the two of them. They are already becoming pals! We hope they will be able to be adopted together because guinea pigs are much happier with a friend than alone!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Guinea Pig Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms

Adoption fee is: $30 for a single guinea pig, or $50 for a pair

This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - due to COVID-19, we will not be able to do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the guinea pig's foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the guinea pig. You can pick your guinea pig up "curb side". Guinea pigs can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR guinea pigs receive a vet check up prior to adoption!

We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
