Meet Susie Carmichael! Rest assured that having only one eye does not slow Susie down one bit! Susie has things to do, places to go, people to meet. She showed up at the shelter as a stray with her ruptured eye hanging out, but you know these things just happen sometimes! Susie wasn't going to let a little thing like that get her down, she quickly had surgery and was back on her feet in no time! A minor bump in the road. She is a teeny tiny little thing, barely 2 pounds, but don't tell her that - she is convinced she is a big tiger! She bosses everyone around. We could all use some of Susie's confidence! She is a very playful kitten who always seems to be in the middle of an important mission. She doesn't have time for boring things like sitting nicely and looking at the camera for a nice photo shoot. 90% of her pictures were a blur of cuteness (we included one for your entertainment). This girl has personality PLUS, and we know you'll love her as much as we do!

This cat is microchipped, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $150, plus refundable $40 spay deposit

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
