Meet Lurch! She was rescued along with her siblings from an overcrowded shelter in North Carolina. She is very affectionate and cuddly and loves to be held. And check out those super cute white feet! When she’s not on someone’s lap, you can find her playing with her toys or with the other kittens. She’s an awesome kitten all around and will fit right into any home!

This cat is microchipped, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is up to date on shots, and litter box trained!

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
Adoption fee is: $200, plus $40 refundable neuter deposit

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
