Meet Minnie! This adorable mama is very sweet and affectionate! She likes being held and is very good with the kids at her foster home. She's pretty mellow and relaxed and would be a great choice for a family with children. She gets along very well with the other female piggies she's being fostered with - including her two babies (Oreo and Rosie) but is not especially bonded to anybody. She'd be fine as a single piggie or with a friend. Minnie's favorite food is lettuce and tomatoes. She runs up to the front of the cage to greet you when you come in the room and squeaks with excitement! She is one of 6 piggies who were surrendered to DPR when their family was no longer able to care for them due to housing issues, but all of them were extremely loved and well cared for and are clearly very used to being picked up and handled. They are friendly and social and are even used to being around dogs! These piggies will make a wonderful addition to your family! 

Minnie saw our vet for a wellness visit and got a clean bill of health and had a nail trim. 

Guinea pigs have wonderful personalities- they are gentle and we have yet to come across any who bite, and they keep a daytime schedule! They form close bonds with their people, similar to cats and dogs. Did you know they are able to recognize people based on scent, sound and sight?! These sweet animals make wonderful pets!

*Please note - we do not do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the guinea pig's foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the guinea pig. You can pick your guinea pig up "curb side". Guinea pigs can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
