Meet Poseidon! Poseidon is a big boy with an awesome personality! He is estimated to be about 6 years old, and he was brought to the shelter when his owner passed away. He gets along really great with all the other cats and dogs. He has the prettiest coat - it is super soft and fluffy and such unique coloring. He's one of those funny Maine Coon cats who loves water! He is outgoing and friendly and loves to be pet and doesn't mind being picked up. He's a cuddle bug for sure. He will make a wonderful companion!
This cat is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
