Meet Starling! She is the absolute sweetest kitty. She is petite and looks like a kitten, but is around 1.5 - 2 years old. She still has some kitten playfulness in her too - she loves the wand toys especially! She had the best time when the Girl Scouts came over to visit - she was so happy to have so much attention! If you're not petting her enough she makes the cutest little trilling noise to politely request you continue cuddling her. She is outgoing and sweet as pie. She gets along great with all the other cats and dogs she is being fostered with and is wonderful with kids! She has a sleek beautiful coat that will require minimal maintenance to keep it looking gorgeous!

This cat is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations.

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
