Meet Cotton! He was rescued from a shelter in NC along with his 7 siblings and his mom, Coconut. He is an extra special kitten because he has "odd-eyes" or Heterochromia, which means he has one blue eye and one gold eye. We also think he may be deaf or at least have some hearing impairment  - as this is a common trait for white cats with odd eyes and Turkish Angoras. But deafness for indoor cats is really not a big deal - it just allows them to sleep peacefully through all the chaos! Cotton is an absolute sweetheart - one of the most outgoing and affectionate ones in the litter. He loves to be in front of the camera and getting all the attention - we actually had to put him in another room when it was time to take pictures of some of the other kittens because he kept photo-bombing everyone!

This cat is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations.

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
