Meet Polar Bear! He is an adorablle little kitten who was rescued from a shelter in NC along with his 7 siblings and mom, Coconut. This family is just as sweet as can be! Polar Bear loves to play with his siblings and with his toys. When he's not playing, you can find him louging on the cat tree or on a cat bed, sprawled out in the funniest positions! There are several kittens in this litter who are deaf (which is common for Turkish Angora cats who are pure white, especially if they have blue eyes or different colored eyes). We are not 100% sure if Polar Bear is hearing impaired or not, but we will continue to closely observe him and will update his profile if we feel confident one way or another.

This cat is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
