Meet Harp! This sweet-as-pie mama kitty is about 1 year old and we can't say enough about what an amazing mom she has been to ALL the kittens (not just her own!) She has taken it upon herself to be the mom of all the dozens of kittens she is being fostered with. She goes around grooming them all, she lets anybody nurse from her (even though she doesn't have milk anymore, sometimes the babies just like a pacifier and she's happy to oblige!) She lets them jump on her and play with her - she's so patient and loving. She is incredibly friendly and affectionate to human kids too! She gets along great with the kids at her foster home and is unphased by any yelling or running around. She loves nothing more than to just be pet and cuddled. She will come to greet you at the door and give you head-butts. She loves kisses too. We could go on and on about Harp! She'll make an amazing addition to any home!
This cat is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations.

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
