Meet Omelet! Omelet is a classic tri-colored guinea pig with fluffy hair. He is an Abyssinian, which means he has cowlicks of hair called "rosettes". He is a handsome sweetie piggie with the cutest little tipped ears. Omelet sadly had to leave his previous home as the owner needed to downsize her pets. He is an affectionate piggie who loves to cuddle and just LOVES being around people and his piggie friends. He gets super excited and runs in circles around his cage when it's time for his daily salad of fresh fruits and veggies! He’s a darling boy.
Check out their cute video below!
All our guinea pigs see the vet for a wellness visit and nail trim prior to adoption.
Guinea pigs have wonderful personalities- they are gentle and we have yet to come across any who bite, and they keep a daytime schedule! They form close bonds with their people, similar to cats and dogs. Did you know they are able to recognize people based on scent, sound and sight?! These sweet animals make wonderful pets!
If you are interested in adopting, pleas fill out a "Guinea Pig Application" at www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms

Can’t adopt? Consider donating! We are always in need of hay, pellets and guinea pig enrichment!

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do on-site meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the guinea pig's foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the guinea pig. You can pick your guinea pig up "curb side". Guinea pigs can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR guinea pigs receive a vet check up prior to adoption!
We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
