**Courtesy Post - these cats are not with DPR, but we were asked to help network them to find them an amazing home!**

"I am looking to relinquish ownership to two Himalayan female cats. I inherited them from my mother when she passed away. I am no longer able to care for them at this time.
It was a few years ago and we’ve been trying to manage but unfortunately the girls need more than we can give them at this time. As much as it pains me to place them I do believe it is in their best interest to find the best homes for them possible.

They do not have to be placed together. They get along fine but are not bonded. They are not fixed but do not spray/mark in the house. Both girls are great for grooming and I am able to maintain at home, Including lion cuts on China. Fiona’s hair may mat when not brushed frequently but typically brushes out easily and I’ve never had to shave her. China has a thicker coat and will pelt if not brushed regularly.

I have kept them up to date on their yearly booster but neither has had a rabies vaccine in some years as far as I know.

China is a seal torti lynx point, she is around 7 yrs old. She does get a lot of build up around her eyes and sometimes gets irritation on her corneas. I do the best I can to maintain her but I’m uncertain if she would require a medical procedure to fix the problem. She is a bit more shy but will cuddle when she wants attention. Mostly she likes her space.

Fiona is a solid blue point, around 8 yrs old. She may have a thyroid issue as she’s been harder to keep weight on recently but is at a decent weight currently. She does not have any issues with her eyes and has a less extreme face. She is a bit more affectionate and social and seeks out attention more."
