Meet Pigwidgeon! This handsome little guy is about 5 months old and is just as sweet as can be! He loves to be pet and to cuddle. When he's not actively cuddling with someone, you can find him playing with his toys. He adores the kids at his foster home and is constantly climbing all over them and seeking attention. He's a definite lap cat and an occasional parrot kitten! He's pretty calm, and he will play if you want him to but he'd really prefer just to sit on your lap and get petted. We just adore Pigwidgeon, and we know you will too! He'll make the perfect addition to one very lucky home!
This cat is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations.

This website is updated daily. If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.
*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
