Breed: Mixed breed (mostly love, partially tank)
Dog-Friendly: yup!
Cats: Hard pass.
Leash Skills: 50% gentle heel, 50% “let’s pretend we’re in a sled race.”

If you’ve been searching for a four-legged best friend who looks like he could bench press your car but actually just wants to nap on your legs, Dundee is your guy!

Nicknamed the Majestic Land Hippo, Dundee is a velvety gray gentleman with a marshmallow soul. He’s mastered the art of the derpy tongue flop, specializes in sidewalk lounging, and considers cuddling a competitive sport. He’s clingy, so don’t be surprised if you wake up with his entire body resting on your chest like a weighted therapy hippo.

Dundee is incredibly dog-friendly and would thrive with a confident canine sibling or as a spoiled only child with plenty of doggy playdates. He’s not a fan of cats. Honestly, he thinks they’re suspicious, and frankly, he’s got better things to do (like chasing squeaky toys or pretending to be a lapdog).

Leash walking? We’re working on it. Sometimes he heels like a show dog, sometimes he pulls like he’s late for dinner. But he’s smart, treat-motivated, and generally eager to please, especially if there’s a couch reward at the end.

If your dream dog is equal parts gentle, goofy, and gloriously rotund, Dundee is waiting to become the best friend you never knew you needed.
