Meet Lawrence! He's got a story to tell! He was found laying in the very middle of a road in North Carolina where cars were driving right over him. Thank goodness and good samaritan stopped and scooped him up. He was taken to the vet and fixed up (including surgery to remove a large polyp in his sinuses which was making it difficult for him to breathe), and we took him into our program. He is the absolute sweetest kitty you've ever met! More than anything, he loves to snuggle. He has very soft, long hair and is super friendly and affectionate. He gets along really great with all the other cats and kittens he is being fostered with, as well as dogs too! And of course, he loves children and any human he's ever met. When he's not snuggling with someone, you can find him playing with his kitten friends or with his toys. We just can't say enough great things about this boy! He will make a wonderful addition to one very lucky home!

This cat is neutered, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative.

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a "Cat Adoption Application"   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms
This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as "available for adoption", that means the animal is still in DPR's care.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up "curb side". Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *

DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:

Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries.  We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
