Hello, my name is Shira!
I was found in Baltimore about a month ago, dodging cars on the highway. A young lady named "Shira" was nice enough to take the time to stop and rescue me.
My foster Mom says I must be a really special girl because so many people have helped me get to where I am. She says she would love to keep me, but she thinks I deserve a forever home where someone will be able to spend more time with me than she can. I enjoy the company of other dogs and people, and I would LOVE to have my own fenced in yard to run in! I would do best in a house with no cats.
I am very, very loving. I love to snuggle, give kisses, and exercise. I am very mellow and relaxed indoors, but I also love to go for walks and runs outdoors. I also love kids, and I understand that I have to be very gentle with the little ones. Even though I can't speak to her, my foster Mommy says she knows I had a home before because I know how to sit and I am housetrained extremely well. I also enjoy car rides. Sometimes my Mom doesn't even realize I'm in the car because I curl up in a ball and fall asleep in the back seat!
The vet says I am only about 1 year old, and that I am spayed. She gave me my basic shots, and said I appear to be very healthy. I'm not really sure what breeds I have in me, but most people think I'm some sort of shepherd mix. The vet says maybe some beagle, or maybe even a large breed like a St. Bernard, but no one can really know for sure!!
If you have a lot of time and love to give, please think about adopting me. I would love to be your loyal friend, and live out the rest of my life with you. I can't wait to finally have a family again... one that will keep me forever this time.
If you have any other questions about me, you can contact my foster Mom directly at MB664603@wcupa.edu. She would be happy to hear from you!! If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my foster Mom and fill out the application on the Delaware Puppy Rescue website. Thank you!!!
