4/15/06 - How time does heal many wounds. Tessa is doing wonderfully. She loves to go for walks now on the leash and is very good on it. She is very friendly and loves to meet the neighbors or neighborhood dogs on her walks. She no longer has that sad look in her eyes. She is finally realizing that life can be good and she show's you just how grateful she is with the constant wagging of her tail! Tessa is housetrained, crate trained and would make a wonderful family dog. She is very easy going, gentle and sweet. Original post 3/20/06: Our girl Tessa has become very special to us. She was pulled from a high kill shelter in early February with her 10 newborn pups. Tessa was approximately 25 lbs underweight at the time with every bone in her body showing. We believe that she was kept in a kennel with other dogs her entire life. She is learning all about life, like playing with a ball, curling up next to you for a belly rub, eating everyday. She has the most soulful eyes we have ever seen. They will capture your heart the minute you see her. Tessa is crate trained and doing very well with housetraining. She does very well on a leash but until she is familiar with the area is very relunctant too go too far away from the house. Tessa has the typical hound trait of just being loving. If you think you have the right home to offer her, please submit an application. More about Tessa (DH)Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
