Lucy is in desperate need of a foster or permanent home.  She is a young pit bull who was found as a stray and pulled from a shelter hours before being euthanized.   Lucy is a complete sweetheart.   She absolutely loves people and toys.  She will gladly fetch for you but sometimes it's hard to get her to give the ball back!  We're not sure of her history but she is a little scared of getting into cars.  She doesn't put up a fight to get in but you do have to lift her up.  She is, however, great in a crate.  She sleeps either in a crate or baby-gated into a kitchen at night.  She never has accidents when left in her crate and she is almost completely housetrained now when not in the crate. She currently lives with 3 other dogs and a cat.  She goes out and plays with the other dogs and wags her tail at the cat.  She is a little much for the older dog she lives with so we would recommend that she be placed only with large, active dogs.  She is too much for older dogs and small dogs. She is a powerful girl and we wouldn't recommend a family with small children.  She is a bundle of love but doesn't realize her strength sometimes!  The vet says she is approximately 1-3 years old, and appears healthy.  She has received her basic shots, has been wormed, and received heartgard.
