Leo is a Purebred English Lab with papers who spent his first 18 months on a chain outside. We rescued him but then found he is an alpha male who has not been socialized with dogs so he must be"an only child." which is why we had to board him since we all have dogs.
His mental health is deteriorating from being boarded. He is not eating properly & depressed. He is a very social boy who does NOT want to go back to living in a kennel, as he did for the first 18 months of his life. In keeping with his Lab heritage he is a huge wiggle-butt, sweet, loving and very very active.
Leo never had toys but now "balls are his life." You'll seldom see him without a ball in his mouth. He has even learned to play with two balls & bats them around with his paws like a cat. Leo requires a 6 foot fence since he can easily sail over a 4 foot fence.
